Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Communication, with a minor in English and concentrations in Gender Studies, African American Studies, and Public Relations, from the University of Maryland in College Park. From there, I went on to earn a certificate in music and social entrepreneurship. I am available to tutor students in numerous subjects, including reading and writing, editing essays, public speaking, and math, among others. I especially enjoy helping students who are working on various communications projects, including written and multimedia platforms. I value the way ideas shared can unite people and the ways language can best serve that. That's why I help my tutoring students not only perfect their abilities in grammar, syntax, and other writing mechanics, but also helping them express their passion in such a way that they might actually change the mind of their readers. My major goals as a tutor are focused on helping students improve their oratory and writing skills, and to give them inspiration by demonstrating my belief that each student's ideas are valid and worth sharing with others. I have experience with different cultures, as I spent time in Germany for part of a year, studying music. I've also led meditation workshops, which actually helps with my tutoring ability.
